The Essentials I Think Everyone Needs to Know About (In no particular order)
-
Acid Trip - Has copies of Petz 1-5 as well as Babyz and Odballz. Also has a ton of cool downloadable stuff, like the Lisa Frank Dalmation breed (a personal favorite of mine)
-
Yabiko - Utility programs, including a genetics examiner so you know what traits a pet could pass on, as well as lots of good behind-the-scenes info for those with the technical know-how to make use of it. Also has a copy of the game and the original breed files in case you lose yours
-
Sherlock Software - Great utility programs, including the must-have Petza which allows you to manually control the age, health and hunger of your petz, besides debugging the game
-
Carolyn's Creations - Literally wrote the handbook on hexing. Dozens of breeds, both cat/dog and wild. Has Oddball breedz for P4/P5!
-
Cargo - A top tier hexer, they have a download section with extracted textures and backgrounds from the game, as well as other goodies
-
polygondwanaland - Lots of great behind the scenes info, including an explanation of the adjectives that toyz can have, what that means and how to play around with them. Also has some really cool downloads as well (including an ant breed that is basically to scale!)
